Happy Mother's Day!

As I aged, I noticed that I paid less and less attention to holidays. They are still celebrated, but with less fanfare. I usually get flowers but this year I got a botanical garden from the husband. He took me to the mall yesterday and picked up this J.Crew Liberty Perfect Shirt in Tresco Floral for me (last day for 30% off sale items with code SUNSHINE). The colors are vivid, the  super high thread count cotton is extremely soft to the touch and has a silky feel to it, the fit is perfect.  It picks up a dreary rainy day easily and can be paired with just about any color on the shirt. Happy Friday! So glad it's finally weekend! We had some crazy thunderstorms and pouring rain in the past few days. Hopefully weather will take a nicer turn soon. Weekend will not be a wash out, but plenty of rain in the forecast. Guess I could use it for some house work. :)

A summer dress in vibrant color and super light silk material is a must have in every girl's wardrobe. I got this Trina Turk for Banana Republic Crazy Botanical Dress last year (see last year's post here).  Even though the number of times that I wore it wasn't much, it continued to be the eye candy in my closet - the vibrant color picks up any mood, especially in the winter.

Navy, Green, and Camel

Recently I have been drawn to the color navy more than ever. It's as classy as black, but less serious.  It's easy to pair with other colors. It's pleasing to the eyes. I wore this outfit last week to work but didn't get a chance to post till now. The wool mini is a J.Crew classic and I scored it brand new from ebay for only $20.50.  I am not an avid ebayer in general.  I find the experience mostly a timer sucker.  However an occasional score like this is very rewarding.

It's Monday!

I got the Tory Burch Robinson Tote today but I don't think I'm keeping. Details later.

Today's outfit is simply and comfortable. I want to capture it because I hardly ever wear pants - I wear skirts, jeans, and shorts almost 99% of the time. These pants were a GAP outlet find a few years ago but since got lost in the big pile of clothes I own. Time to declutter! I am glad I found it. It's the perfect fit all over and super comfy.

Scalloped

What a beautiful Sunday! Is there a better way to enjoy it than having the most delicious Xiao Long Bao and Shui Zhu Yu in one meal and walking it off in Boston Public Garden and Newbury Street? That's what I did today with my family in this very outfit + a trench and swapped the sandals to these Loft Talia Low heel sandals. The sandals are very comfortable for walking and super cute in person. I have the natural color.
